Corrections Log
We get things wrong, and facts go stale. When we spot a problem, we fix the text and record here what changed and when. We do this partly out of responsibility to readers and partly so you can see how we treat accuracy. Corrections are welcome through the contact page.

2026-06-26 · "bStocks vs. xStocks: the differences"
The first version described xStocks as "issued only on Solana." A reader pointed out that xStocks actually circulate across several chains (including Solana SPL and a number of EVM chains). We changed it to "multi-chain" and added a note that Backed's official page is the source of truth. Thanks for writing in.
2026-06-22 · "Fees and slippage on tokenized stocks"
One spot called on-chain gas "practically negligible." That's not accurate enough — BNB Chain gas is usually low, but it can still rise when the network is busy, and different actions use different amounts. We changed it to give an order-of-magnitude range, stressed that the wallet's estimate at the time is what counts, and linked to the gas estimator tool.
2026-06-20 · "The complete guide to tokenized stocks"
An earlier version's wording on "1:1 backing" could leave the impression that you can "redeem the real share at net asset value, without loss, any time." That's not right: whether and by whom redemption is possible depends on the issue terms, and most ordinary users buy and sell the token on the secondary market. We rewrote that paragraph and added a callout to explain it.
Our correction principles
- Factual errors: once verified, we fix the text as soon as we can and log it here.
- Stale information: when fee, rule, or product changes make content out of date, we update it and note the new date we checked.
- No quiet edits: corrections that touch substance leave a trace, rather than being changed silently as if nothing happened.
